Satisfy both your desire for control and need for excitement with the simple twist of a dial. From Conserve to Excite, the Lincoln Navigator offers five standard and distinct selectable drive modes for confidence, exhilaration and control in a wide variety of driving conditions. These modes are Slippery, Excite, Conserve, Deep Conditions and Normal, as well as a sixth, available Slow Climb* drive mode. Each mode has a number of calculated settings that adjust the vehicle, including the available adaptive suspension, shift points, 4x2 vs. 4x4 drivetrain, information displays and more — and it all happens with the twist of a knob.
Road conditions vary and, for smooth and confident driving, your suspension should too. The adaptive suspension controls the up-and-down movement of the wheels when driving on uneven surfaces and over potholes. This system, controlled by the five standard selectable Lincoln Drive Modes—including Deep Conditions for sandy terrain—helps to decrease the stress of harsh driving situations without compromising the comfort within.
Capable of producing 450 horsepower* and 510 lb.-ft. of torque,* the twin-turbocharged 3.5L engine in the Navigator is a true powerhouse. With smooth and controlled power, it performs in a way that matches both your mood and the road. Additionally, this vehicle features five standard, selectable Lincoln Drive Modes, as well as a sixth, the available Slow Climb.*
The 10-speed transmission in the Lincoln Navigator helps to balance power with comfort. With 10 shift points, the engine can operate in its sweet spot and avoid the highs and lows associated with fewer gears.
Make light work of heavy loads with best-in-class towing.* With a twin-turbocharged engine capable of producing 450 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque,* and an engine-adapting standard tow/haul mode, the Navigator seamlessly translates power into performance—up to 8,700 lbs. Additionally, a Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package is available.
In situations where power is essential, the Lincoln Navigator delivers. The Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package* features a Class IV trailer with 4-pin and 7-pin connectors, heavy-duty radiator, Smart Trailer Tow Connector, trailer brake controller and trailer sway control. With this package, electronic traction assist delivers an almost infinite amount of torque to each wheel, making for greater confidence and control when towing heavy loads in virtually any driving condition. Plus, with Pro Trailer Backup Assist,™ you can release the steering wheel* and instead use a dash-mounted knob to effortlessly back up your trailer. Additionally, a two-speed transfer case and Slow Climb drive mode are included on 4x4 models.
Whether on the road or off, available 4x4 capability helps smooth your journey. The Navigator's 4x4 configuration deftly applies the twin-turbocharged engine's 450 horsepower* and 510 lb.-ft. of torque,* making rugged driving conditions easily traversed. Plus, by adding available Hill Descent Control™ and tow hooks, trying situations can be easily overcome.
Speed-sensitive electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) responds to both you and the road. By offering more flexible steering at higher speeds and more precise steering at lower speeds, EPAS helps you stay in control.
From the moment you approach, the Lincoln Navigator guides the way. When your key fob is within a detectable range, autofold sideview mirrors project a signature Lincoln logo welcome mat on the ground below the front doors, door handles glow and front and rear running lamps illuminate in a thoughtfully timed sequence.
Power-deployable running boards extend and illuminate to greet you as you approach—helping to lead the way and to assist you as you enter and exit the vehicle.

Auto Hold helps to reduce the effort of keeping your vehicle still at stop signs, signals and other braking situations. When engaged and you bring the vehicle to a standstill using the brake pedal, you can take your foot off the brake and the system will hold the vehicle in position, even on hills. When you engage the accelerator, Auto Hold will then release the brakes.
Less is more. The all-aluminum-alloy body of the Lincoln Navigator reduces weight to allow the Navigator to be enriched with cutting-edge features that enhance comfort, quietness and the driving experience. This pairing of frame and body helped the Lincoln Navigator earn the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA's) 2018 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score in its New Car Assessment Program—the highest possible rating.*
The standard Lane-Keeping System uses a camera mounted behind the windshield's rearview mirror to monitor road lane markings and detect unintentional drifting toward the outside of a lane. If the camera detects an impending drift, the system will use the steering system* and the instrument cluster display to alert and/or aid you to stay in your lane.
Technology that's looking ahead. Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking can help potentially avoid or lessen the severity of traffic accidents.* The system uses radar to scan the roadway ahead of the vehicle for pedestrians, and if any are detected, it provides a collision warning and automatically applies the brake if the driver is unable to take corrective action.
Parallel and perpendicular parking the Lincoln Navigator requires less effort and strain thanks to standard Enhanced Active Park Assist. Ultrasonic sensors can locate an available spot and, while you control the shifter buttons, brake and accelerator, the vehicle steers itself into place. Plus, with class-exclusive* park out assist, the same technology that helped guide you in helps make getting out just as effortless.
The Forward and Reverse Sensing Systems help drivers in a number of ways. From assisting with active parking to helping while the vehicle is slowly approaching an object, the sensors make both the road ahead and the road behind easy to manage.
The available head-up display* helps to prove that what lies ahead is just as important as what is happening now. The system helps to create a custom driving experience by letting drivers choose what data to display, from standard driving information to available Adaptive Cruise Control settings, Lane-Keeping System information and more. Digital light projection technology allows the display to be visible in different ambient lighting conditions.
Available Adaptive Cruise Control* with Stop-and-Go capability makes your drive even more effortless. When the Navigator is in adaptive cruise mode, radar scans the road ahead and detects if you are approaching slower traffic. The system can automatically brake and accelerate to keep you at your set speed or follow with the pace of traffic when speeds are below your set speed. With the addition of Stop-and-Go, the feature can bring your vehicle to a complete stop in congested traffic and resume it as traffic begins to move.*
